Thanksgiving is coming and the food shelf wants to remind everyone of the annual Thanksgiving Project that provides a 14-pound turkey and all the fixin’s (think cranberry sauce, gravy, dressing and produce) for about 200 families. Please help support this project if you can.
Each meal costs $35. Donations of cash are particularly helpful because we order the frozen turkeys in a large number a couple of weeks ahead of Nov. 21 when families pick up the food. We also appreciate donations of cranberry sauce, gravy and dressing. (Open hours are Mon. 4-6 pm; Wed. 1-3 pm; and Sat. 10-noon.)
Please mail checks to PO Box 570, Woodstock, VT 05091. Donations of food can be dropped off at the food shelf during open hours. If you have questions, call Sheila Murray at 457-1701 or Leigh Snell at 457-366, or the food shelf, 457-1185. Thanks for your support of this wonderful community project!
