PVS and Chippers Team Up

Prosper Valley School and Chippers Team Up

Heartfelt Help for the Hungry

P1020288groupschoolsm

The annual team work of PVS and Chippers has once again resulted in an important donation of food and cash for the food shelf.

Teacher Barb Leonard is the mastermind of a program that combines curriculum goals with a food drive. The students labeled boxes, set a goal for collection, collected, kept track of donations of food on a chart, sorted the food into categories and, on February 12, delivered the food in a Chippers’ truck to the food shelf.

Chippers generously donated a check for $1,000.

The food drive included many staples, ranging from tuna to peanut butter, pasta, soups and stews, and canned fruit.

Helen Curtis from the food shelf board was on hand to accept the donations, and was very impressed with the hard work and enthusiasm of the students.

Thanks to PVS and Chippers for their support!
