This is the name of a new endeavor of the Woodstock Food Shelf. Some students in our community do not have enough nutritious food during the weekends. The Food Shelf, with the help of the school counselors, determine who might need some food for Saturday and Sunday. This week we filled 2 cars and delivered five weeks worth of food to 3 area schools. Cereal, nuts and dried fruit, applesauce, granola bars, gogurt, peanut butter are some of the items on the list. The guidance counselors discretely fill backpacks with food on Fridays, so that no student is singled out as needy. Thanks to the people in the schools that implement this program and to the strong arms that take the boxes into the schools.
